Notes

Programmes that are really data-bases are sometimes ‘sold’ as offering guidance.

It is important to be aware of their limitations. They do not provide ‘career guidance’ and are based on a matching paradigm that considers the provision of information will assist clients to make decisions.

This can be very valuable, but does not look at the ‘whole’ picture concerning the client.
